My river runs to thee:
Blue sea, wilt welcome me?
My river waits reply.
Oh sea, look graciously!
I'll fetch thee brooks
From spotted nooks, —
Say, sea,
Take me!

내 강은 그대에게로 흐른다.
푸른 바다여, 나를 맞아 주겠는가?
내 강은 대답을 기다린다.
오 바다여, 너그러이 바라보라!
내가 그대에게 시내들을 가져오리라.
얼룩진 후미들에서 흘러온 시내들을.
말해 다오, 바다여,
나를 받아들이겠다고!
