뒤따라 빠르게 부는 바람,
흰 돛을 바스락거리며 가득 채우고,
씩씩한 돛대를 휘게 하는 바람.
씩씩한 돛대를 휘게 하네, 친구들아,
자유로운 독수리처럼
좋은 배는 날아가고, 뒤쪽에
오래된 영국을 남겨 둔다.
오 부드럽고 온화한 바람이여!
어떤 아름다운 이가 외치는 것을 들었다.
그러나 내게는 코고는 듯한 거센 바람을 다오,
높이 솟는 흰 파도를 다오.

물의 세계가 우리의 집,

A wind that follows fast,
And fills the white and rustling sail,
And bends the gallant mast;
